Sweetest u!!!

I can’t let go of your story and it resonates deep in to my soul…..

U remind me of me in a sense…. Or u remind me of the reinvention of me in so many ways…

For the longest time I have stuck my head in the sand… and pushed my way through the day one at the time… not knowing what the hell is left of me or my self worth….

Dancing and singing used to be my passion and stability in life…. Ballet was the organised part of my life as a kid and as a teenager when the rest was chaos… I lived with my mom and my siblings…. My mom was very unhappy with her self… and she decided that she would have a sex change and become our dad instead… and this was in bedded before and after with a lot of alcohol and drugs… I was about 10 at the time and about 12 when he was finished…. To ad to the mix I was slowly “coming out “ around 13….

So my safe place was ballet and the structure made so much sense… for survival…

To make a very long story short…. I had a fantastic career as a dancer and singer for almost 27 years….

Then due to injury I had to stop at the age of 38…. It felt like I had lost an arm and a leg…. The doctors said that I had the choice to continue dancing for a few more months and to take painkillers for the rest of my life….. or I had to stop and figure out something else to do…

I had to reinvent myself…. And start all over again…. That is what I have been doing until now… I’m now 61 years old…. I really don’t think I have managed to replace what dancing ment to me …. Or dealt with the pain and sorrow…. But I guess I’m still here, I continue with the process… my life is good in many ways… I work hard as a teacher and I have a loving husband… and we have created a new life for us both…

I miss my other part of my life…. But I am optimistic about the future… we help a lot of people who have injured themselves and the doctors say they can’t be helped… so that gives a lot of purpose…

I love finding out more about you…. U give me hope and power to me to deal with my own problems…. I don’t feel alone anymore…. Thank you for being u….

Best regards
